Our June pet blog features a unique trio of mini horses. Charlie, Fred and George make their home in Newaygo, MI. Their owner, Ronica Froese, owns and operates Little Horses Big Smiles, which is a non-profit organization that uses equine therapy to bring love and happiness to others. All three of them are mini therapy horses and they visit healthcare facilities for free! They are also the mascots for the Mid-Michigan Honor Flight Program which takes veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials that honor their service. How cool is that? At Stormy Kromer, we proudly support the Upper Peninsula Chapter of the Michigan Honor Flight and think it’s a wonderful organization.
Charlie and George are both 6 years old and Fred is 18 months. They all can do tricks such as smile, shake and bow. Charlie, the horse who started the therapy program, is also an avid bowler and basketball player. He even paints and plays piano!
Their lives focus on bringing comfort and joy to others one smile at a time. Last summer, Fred and Ronica joined us at our SK Headquarters for the factory tour. Just like in the wonderful photo of these three, Fred showed up in his Critter Kromer. He looked as handsome as ever and as he walked through the factory, our employees were so happy and excited to see him. He definitely brightened everyone’s day.
Thank you to Charlie, Fred, George and Ronica for all the great work you do. We love that as fellow Michiganders you proudly wear Stormy Kromer products. We think they all look dashing in their Critter Kromers, don’t you? Seeing this photo and remembering Fred on our factory tour puts a smile on our faces once again, so well done boys, mission accomplished!
