We’re so excited to give you the very first glimpse of an innovative new product that’s been several years in the making!
Although you know and love Stormy Kromer for our thoughtfully crafted clothing and accessories, you may also know us as part of Jacquart Fabric Products (JFP), a third generation cut-and-sew manufacturer based in Ironwood, Michigan. Since Bob Jacquart Sr. launched JFP in 1958, our talented team has contracted with other companies to make their products. Since Stormy Kromer joined the family in 2001, it’s taken up most of our business, but we still cut and sew for some valued clients.
One of those companies is Snowtrekker Tents. For more than 15 years, we’ve proudly manufactured their highly regarded winter camping tents. Snowtrekker is the perfect partner for us. Like JFP, they’re family-owned and run, based in the Midwest, and passionate about outfitting people to experience the beauty of winter.
We were thrilled when they approached us to help them design and prototype their newest creation — a canvas sauna tent! With roots in the Finnish-influenced culture of the Upper Peninsula, saunas have always been near and dear to our hearts. From sourcing the right fabrics to making dozens of prototypes, we’ve worked hand-in-hand with Snowtrekker to create a truly authentic sauna experience that’s both fully portable and more cost effective than traditional frame-built saunas.
We’re proud to be a part of this exciting product, and for it to carry the Stormy Kromer name, reputation and quality.
